When I started off with my masters I was aware of the teaching practices and strategies, however the modules of this course helped me refine my knowlege greately. I was aware of the terms and terminologies better. The research paper and all the modules pertaining to it has substatially helped me to approach a subject in a very professional manner. The exposure it gave me in understanding various elements involving the research has helped me to confidently approach any situations in my career profession developments. The course coordinator, webinar professor and the evaluators were all exceptionally knowlegdged and very interactive and helpful. The entire programme gave me a new definition of higher education. This course and the entire journey of completing my masters has been very encouraging, motivation and beneficial for me academically and personally. I am grateful for EIU forwoffering such a platform for education and ACT for their professional delivery of the courses.

Overall, my experience was positive. The course provided a solid foundation for teaching in the pre-primary and primary years. I appreciated the flexibility and support from the instructors. The practical activities and teaching aids segment was especially engaging and gave me useful tools to apply in the classroom. My experience was mostly positive. The course content was well-structured, which helped deepen my understanding of the subject. During the webinars, the lecturers were very friendly. They catered to to reflective thinking. The allowed learners time to share. The encouraged Cooperative learning. Assignments were marked on time. I love the fact that Miss Soumita Bhattacharjee is so patient and engaging. My emails/questions were answered speedily. I felt very confident when completing my assignments. The only issue was the time difference between Asia and St. Lucia. Sometimes I had to be at class at 5:30 a.m. which was way too early for me.

My experience with the Professional Doctorate in Education program has been deeply enriching, both academically and personally. The course offered a well-structured pathway that allowed me to progress from foundational concepts to advanced research with clarity and confidence. The flexibility of the online mode, coupled with prompt academic support, made it possible to balance rigorous doctoral work alongside professional commitments. What stood out most was the encouragement to pursue interdisciplinary research—something that aligned perfectly with my interests in education, technology, and strategic management. The thesis component, in particular, was intellectually stimulating and gave me the platform to explore Virtual Reality as a pedagogical tool in higher education. Additionally, presenting my research at two conferences added a valuable layer of real-world academic exposure. The support from faculty—especially during the thesis defense and revisions—was timely, constructive, and empowering. Overall, this program did not just equip me with a qualification, but with a renewed sense of scholarly purpose and global academic engagement. I look forward to a continued association with ACT and EIU in future academic endeavors.

What do you believe you will benefit from the program at this stage of your career? How would you like to see your career develop over the next 5 years? What are your career objectives? From a young age, I was drawn to education. I began studying in this field but had to put my academic journey on hold to pursue professional opportunities and start a family. One of my biggest regrets is not completing my initial degree, despite being so close. However, life has a way of guiding us back to where we belong. For most of my career, I have worked in education, training, and community service—where I feel most alive. When the opportunity arose to study with the Asian College of Teachers and the European International University, it felt like divine providence. I couldn’t wait to get back to learning, refining my skills, and expanding my knowledge. Initially, I focused on the Senior and FET phases, but this time, my studies introduced me to Special Educational Needs, Foundation, Intermediate, and Senior phases. This broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of the diverse needs of learners. It also brought back memories of my own schooling, making me reflect on my early experiences and the changes in education over the years. I recognized mistakes I had made both as a student and later as a teacher. These reflections reinforced my belief in the power of quality training, strong guidance, and the importance of learning from those who genuinely care. For me, education is not just a career, it is a calling. It is my way of serving others, particularly the youth, who are often the most vulnerable and overlooked in society. I have always believed that my purpose extends beyond simply working, earning a living, and retiring. I am here to serve my Creator by serving the people entrusted to me. This program has reignited my vision and strengthened my passion for lifelong learning. It has reminded me that true education is not just about acquiring knowledge but about wisdom, purpose, and service. As a teacher and facilitator, I see myself as a guide, helping others navigate their own journeys of discovery. The wisdom and experiences passed down to me through school, university, and life itself are gifts I am eager to share. Over the next five years, I want to deepen my impact in education. With this qualification, I will be better equipped to serve my community, inspire curious minds, and lead others in their pursuit of excellence. More importantly, I will honor my Creator by fulfilling the purpose I have always felt so strongly—helping others find meaning, knowledge, and enlightenment in their own lives.
