The curriculum of the course on Special education was succinct and self explanatory. It touched upon all the important aspects of the different kinds of disabilities that we come across in a classroom as a teacher. It gave me a clear understanding of the different disabilities , their behavioral patterns, their difficulties in learning, their strengths and requirements, and various learning strategies to help them overcome their difficulties. The course has helped me to start my journey as a special educator. The course co-ordinator and other staff were very kind and helpful whenever approached. All my queries , even the silliest, were heard by them and answered very patiently. Their services were very prompt which is worth admirable. At the end , I would like to suggest that the course would have been more helpful if some project/assignment is included in the curriculum.

The program is designed for students to learn at their own pace thus studying was very convenient and without pressure. The reading materials are direct and are carefully architecture to be highly relevant in the course of study. It funneled me to learn and embed in my heart the theories and pedagogues of teaching learners with special education needs.

This was my first experience with online learning. What stood out for me during the entire course was its flexibility to work on my own time pace and the in-depth knowledge of the course content with multiple case studies. Every time I would go through my content, I would go back and relate my learning to my workplace. It became more like a hands-on-learning for me. Taking up the course alongside my work was a success. The communication with my coordinator was also very smooth, professional and very detailed that there was no room for doubts. I work as a teacher in Asha Kiran Special Needs School, Bangalore.

My experience and journey of the course was lovely. The modules got me hooked onto it right from the beginning and I finished the course in 1 and a half months. The course content is well designed and the assignment questions were very thought-provoking. I look forward to using my knowledge with the various children I will encounter and make the process of learning enjoyable and fun. Having prior knowledge and Masters in Psychology helped me understand this course better and progress with more ease. I am a Behavior Therapist at Insighte Homecare for Children, Bangalore. Teaching to the students to give them knowledge about what makes them able to deal with outside of the home and school. Teaching to the learning disabilities kids is one of the difficult job but if any one of us couldn't try than non of our kids in my city get chance to understand what they are reading. Also they get one opportunities to overcome their weakness and afraid. I work in Kopila Valley School as a teacher.

I find myself overly joyed at the thought of having been able to learn so much about special education and what teachers or special educators can do to tackle it. I have always believed that knowledge is the most rewarding wealth and I find myself being a more confident teacher than what I was a year ago. The idea of bringing about a change is long and an exhausting process but with consist effort there is hope for the students. I also find myself telling every now and then, everybody deserves a shot. Learning never ends. Each day comes up with a new chapter for me adding upto my previous experience. Through the years of my experience I have developed a passion to reach out to the young minds, especially who struggle for help to cope up with this strange world. I want to let all the teachers know that every child is unique, each one is special in one or the other way.
