ACT Conducted a Customized Workshop for the HoDs of the Royal University of Bhutan in Bangkok

Asian College of Teachers (ACT) conducted a specially crafted workshop - ‘Certificate in Education Management and Academic Leadership’ spanning from the 16th to the 20th of January 2024 in Bangkok. This intensive workshop was tailored to meet the specific needs of 13 participants comprising the Dean and Heads of the Education Department of the esteemed Royal University of Bhutan.

Led by a team of distinguished trainers, the workshop delved into essential topics such as the Foundation of Academic Leadership, Strategic Leadership and Planning, Leading People and HRM, Learning and Development of People, Managing Students, Coaching and Mentoring Staff, and Critical Success Factors in Leadership. It also explored the Challenges and Opportunities of Higher Education in the 21st Century, Characteristics and Competencies of Academic Leaders, Strategic Planning, and Goal Setting, among other pertinent subjects.

The workshop was conducted by renowned experts in the field of academic leadership and management, including Dr. Maurice Kenneth Dimmock, the Chair of Trustees of NCUL (Italian University with a base in London), Dr. Karl Meneghella, a Ph.D. in Management Science and Education is currently engaged as an education inspector with ASIC UK, Dr. Arnulfo S. Aniel (Arnie), who holds a Doctoral Degree in Educational Management and engaged as a Public Speaking Coach and University Lecturer, Dr. Venus Dennen Claver, holding a Doctor of Philosophy in Management and serving as a University Lecturer, Public Speaking & Communications Trainer and Prof. Dr. Sanjib Chakraborty, a Ph.D. in Management Science and acting as the Advisor of Teacher Training and Innovative Education at European International University (EIU-Paris) and Chief L&D Advisor imparting training across the globe. The workshop received an overwhelming response and concluded with a comprehensive feedback and certification session, signifying the successful transfer of knowledge highly praised by the experienced group of educators from Bhutan. This initiative strengthens ACT's commitment to enhancing the leadership skills of academic professionals, contributing to the growth and excellence of educational institutions worldwide.
