ACT Conducted an Empowering Teachers Workshop at Mahatma Gandhi Sishu Siksha Sadan in Medinipur West Bengal

Asian College of Teachers (ACT) successfully organized a two-day workshop on 21st Century Teaching Skills and Strategies at Mahatma Gandhi Sishu Siksha Sadan, Bajkul, Medinipur on 29th and 30th July, 2023. The workshop witnessed the participation of 27 enthusiastic teachers eager to enhance their teaching skills. The workshop, led by ACT’s highly experienced senior trainer Ms. Rimpa Ghosh, focused on creative teaching methodologies to effectively engage learners. Various topics were covered during the program, including Learning with Fun emphasizing the Play Way method, play-based learning techniques such as word race, taboo, and missing words. Bloom’s Taxonomy, Multiple Intelligence, Warmer Activities, Context Setting, Lesson Planning, Phonics, Classroom Management, and Resource Management were among the other essential topics covered.

The teachers who attended the workshop represented diverse age groups and brought unique perceptions and experiences to the session. Throughout the workshop, they demonstrated their skills through engaging presentations, emphasizing the 4C's - Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity. Ms. Ghosh, the assigned trainer, is of the opinion that the workshop surpassed her expectations and empowered her as an educator as well. The participants' passion for learning new techniques and methodologies was evident, and the hands-on activities and practical exercises made the learning process enjoyable.
