Pre-Independence Day Celebration at ACT Kolkata Centre exuded hope, warmth and laughter

14th August 2021

Asian College of Teachers celebrated India's 75th Independence Day at the Kolkata centre on 13th August, 2021 with great enthusiasm and maintaining COVID protocols. The celebration kept the spirits high on 13th August, 2021 with members from ACT’s Kolkata centre sporting tri-colour themed attire and integrating saffron, white and green, the colours depicting the Indian flag. The event was also arranged on a virtual platform for outstation members and for those who are working remotely.

The celebration kicked off with remembering our heroes who laid down their lives and the struggles they went through to bring freedom to the nation. It was a day to remind ourselves of our glorious past and that even in such unprecedented times, we still stand united.

All the members whole-heartedly participated and the entire centre was pulsating with song, dance, fun-filled activities followed by quiz and even virtual performances which saw active participation and were immensely enjoyed by all. The participants captured the essence of independence through their performance beautifully with the prospect to connect with the spirit of nationalism. Belting out the national anthem by ACT members marked the end of the event with the promise to stay united and fight back the tough times and move ahead towards a better and positive tomorrow.
