ACT's Live Online TEFL and ITD Courses receive Overwhelming Response amidst the Pandemic

When the pandemic threatened to stall our lives last year, Asian College of Teachers (ACT) transitioned and adapted to live online mode of learning for its two popular courses - International Teaching Diploma and TEFL imparting training to candidates across the globe despite the challenges and to provide them the opportunity to attend live classes, have live interaction with facilitators along with their peers, and collaborate in activities using video conferencing technology even during lockdown period. ACT has since received a great response from students joining the live online classes. The live online TEFL was introduced in April 2020, and has since received a whopping 685 enrolments till date. While the ITD program in a webinar mode came into being in August 2020, has recorded an impressive 218 enrolments.
Candidates welcomed this new mode of learning with open arms and showered their love in the form of great and positive feedback. The live online format for ITD and TEFL have received impressive and prominent responses from students who attended the sessions from their homes via webinar platforms, and upgraded their skills minus the hassle of traveling or being affected by the pandemic. Candidates are of the opinion that the simulated classroom experience provided them with wholesome learning, enabled them with peer support and interactions with their trainers instantly, and they found the webinars as well-designed and interactive sessions which helped them to acquire skills and knowledge.
The COVID-19 pandemic has devastating effects globally and fear surrounding the impact of it is quite obvious in each and every sector, including education. ACT has always stood for its students and been on the fast-track in fostering online education, so that learning doesn’t stop for anyone. Since the pandemic hit last year, ACT has been working relentlessly to make teacher education reachable to every aspiring and potential teacher based in any part of the globe.
